Topping the list of valuable gemstones is jadeite. It is considered one of the rarest and most valuable gemstones in the entire world, and is mined mostly in areas throughout Guatemala and Chine. The stronger the jadeite’s green hue, the more valuable it is, with a base value of $3 million per carat.

Red Diamonds

Naturally red diamonds are extremely rare, and range in color from a rich red, to deep reddish-purple. Most are mined exclusively in Australia, which makes them even harder to find unless you have a supplier with connections. For this reason, a quality red diamond, on average, will cost you up to $2.5 million per carat.
